GALLAS CRITICISES CHELSEA

William Gallas has expressed his frustration at Chelsea's performance
in the 1-0 win in Stuttgart on Wednesday.
The stylish French defender felt his side should have chased a second
goal after being gifted the lead after Fernando Meira put through his own
net early in the proceedings.
However, Claudio Ranieri's men failed to register a single shot on
target and Gallas complained that the defence was overworked in merely
attempting to hold onto the slim advantage.
"As usual, at 1-0, we stopped playing," he complained to L'Equipe.
"Instead of trying to score a second goal that would have meant almost
certain qualification.
"Chelsea suffers too much and relies too much on the defence.
"We have to show a lot more to reach the Champions League final, that
we are all dreaming of here."
The Blues stopper was clearly disatisfied with the display and is
understood to have voiced his anger in the dressing room afterwards.
Boss Ranieri will probably appreciate the constructive criticism of
the team as it shows the former Marseille man's determination to scoop
Europe's biggest prize this term.
