PSV Eindhoven have revealed that they have held talks with Chelsea
about a possible deal for new signing Alex.
The Dutch side have beaten off the interest of a host of clubs to
secure the signing of the Santos defender.
The Brazilian Under-21 international is putting the finishing touches
to his move to the Phillips Stadion and is currently undergoing a medical.
Chelsea were believed to be in the running to sign the highly-rated
stopper before he decided to join PSV and now reports suggest both clubs
have come to an agreement to see him move to Stamford Bridge in a few years.
Reports emanating from Holland suggest Alex will spend two years at
PSV before moving onto Chelsea.
PSV technical manager Frank Arnesen revealed they had held talks with
Chelsea over a future deal involving Alex.
"We have spoken with Chelsea about Alex," said Arnesen. "About the
exact conversation I can't say much because the transfer of Alex to PSV has
to be completed first."
