Frank Lampard is hopeful his fine form for Chelsea will secure his
place in the England side for the European Championship.
The midfielder was tipped for the Stamford Bridge exit door at the
start of the season, following the arrival of some major midfield players
, but the former West Ham star grasped the challenge with both hands.
Lampard has proved to be one of Chelsea's best players this term,
with reports suggesting he will soon earn a mega new contract - taking his
wages up to the same level as those of the galaxy of stars plying their
trade in West London.
The player is looking to concentrate on the remaining few months of
the season, hopeful a good run will cement his place in Sven Goran
Eriksson's plans.
"It is probably my best season so far," he told Sky Sports News. "I am
25 now and I always try and improve every year.
"I will try and do that in the last few months of the season.
"I am always trying to get better and it was a challenge at the start
of the season and hopefully I have risen to that.
"The challenge of the England team is always there and I want to be a
part of it."
