Ranieri hopes to stay on
Under-pressure Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri is hopeful of staying at
Stamford Bridge after top-level talks on Friday.
Ranieri, whose position has been strengthened by his side's Champions
League win over Arsenal, met senior club figures to discuss his future.
Ranieri said: "We had a very good meeting and very soon we will know
something. I want to stay here.
"I have given everything and now it's going well. Why would I want to
change?"
After the midweek European victory at Highbury, Ranieri wants his side
to keep up the pressure on Arsenal at the top of the Premiership table.
He is interested to see how they will react to that win when they take
on Middlesbrough on Saturday.
"I'm very curious," he added.
"We want to be a big team so we need to go through this period after
a big victory, forget it all and continue to fight."
