Chelsea star Frank Lampard has insisted that he wants to sign up at St
amford Bridge for the rest of his career, despite interest from Italia
n giants Internazionale.
Contract talks between the England midfielder and The Blues hierarchy
appear to have stalled in recent weeks.
Inter are believed to have been in touch with Chelsea in recent weeks
and are reported to have secured first refusal on Lampard's services -
should he leave.
However, The former West Ham man - who has two-years left on his curre
nt deal and admits to being flattered by the talk of Inter - insists h
e wants to stay with Chelsea.
"Given the chance, I would love to sign for Chelsea for life," said La
mpard.
"I feel it's like my home.
"The fans have always been great with me and I just want to keep playi
ng in a way they appreciate.
"It's flattering to have great European clubs like Inter saying nice t
hings about you.
"But all I'm interested in is playing for Chelsea and finishing the se
ason on a high."
Lampard has been in superb form throughout the season and is almost ce
rtain to be named The Blues Player of the Year.
