Mourinho claims the pressure is on United

Jose Mourinho today reopened his war of words with Manchester United by
claiming that Sir Alex Ferguson's side are under big pressure to stay
in the title race.
Gary Neville suggested yesterday that Chelsea may lose their nerve when the
Premiership seasons reaches its climax next spring, but Mourinho insists
that United are more likely to crack.
Chelsea hold a nine-point lead over fourth-place United and Mourinho rather
pointedly stressed that they are happy to lead from the front.
He said: "I'm not interested in what Gary Neville is saying, but in what my
players say to me and what they show me. Every one of my players is showing
that they can cope with the pressure, and I think real pressure is being nine
points behind us.
"To be nine points behind us must be a big pressure so I'm not interested in
Neville. We're very happy with where we are and prefer to be in front. The
pressure is on those behind us, especially those nine points behind. They
have a big reason to feel the pressure."
Mourinho said: "We have to look at every match as a big game and it's all
about getting the points. There's no point in getting results in big games
if we don't beat Norwich. We want to get three points in every match and it
would be ridicu lous getting a good result at Highbury but not taking three
points from Norwich.
"It will be difficult because they're desperate for points and hard to beat.
They don't lose many games and have nine draws so it will be very difficult,
but my players are confident."
Mourinho will make at least one change to the side that drew at Highbury,
with Wayne Bridge replacing Ricardo Carvalho. The Portuguese centre-back
will be out for two to three weeks with a broken toe and, with Robert Huth
still injured, William Gallas moves to partner John Terry at the heart of
Chelsea's defence.
Mourinho is confident Bridge will seize his chance. He said: "Wayne is
improving a lot and played very well against Newcastle and Arsenal. His
condition is improving and he's getting more confident. His chance arrives
in the right moment and he will be ready."
