Reyes expects Joaquin move

Arsenal star Jose Antonio Reyes has revealed he expects Spain international
colleague Joaquin to join Chelsea.

The duo are good friends off the pitch having both grown up in Seville and
come through the ranks at local rivals Sevilla and Real Betis respectively.

Reyes made the switch to English football during last winter's transfer
window and has gone on to establish himself as a top-level performer in The
Premiership.

He now anticipates Joaquin to do the same at Chelsea, despite protestations
from both that player and his club that he will not be moving on in January.

"I have a lot of contact with Joaquin and logically it would be better if
he came to live in London," Reyes told Sport.

"In his first few days he will find himself very rushed, but then he will
have time to see everything."

Reyes admits The Blues will become an even tougher proposition if Joaquin
does switch to Stamford Bridge, but remains confident The Gunners can
overcome their London rivals in the title chase.

"Chelsea is a rival that will fight for the league, they have a great team
and with Joaquin they would be an even more difficult opponent," he
continued.

"But Arsenal are capable of catching Chelsea, even though they might soon
have Joaquin."
