Mourinho ready for Christmas test
Jose Mourinho is dealing with his injury crisis at Chelsea by refusing
to give his fit players a day off.
The Blues have just 16 players as they enter the Christmas schedule.
And boss Mourinho said: "Over the next 15 days everyone is selected.
I cannot give them a rest - in the next two months I will need everybody.
"We don't have many midfield players and when I think about playing 16
games by the end of February, we are in a little bit of a difficult
situation."
Mourinho also hit back at Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's
suggestion that Chelsea's title challenge would stall in the north of
England.
"You're not so good in the south," responded Mourinho.
"Maybe he is correct - if we drop a lot of points in this period it is
because he is correct, but if we can remain top of the league after this
period, it is because he is incorrect - we will have to wait and see.
"It can also be correct that we will lose a lot of points in the north
of the country, we don't know.
"But for sure Manchester United lose points in the south.
"They lost three points at Stamford Bridge, they lost three points at
Portsmouth and they lost two points at Fulham.
"So for sure, they have a problem in the south.
"Maybe I will face something that is unbelievable up north.
"I look forward to it because I am always learning - so if I go there
and I learn something, it is great."
