布里托，代替被禁賽的莫里老大發言，他承認傷停時的點球令人感到沮喪， "本
來四比一的比分最後卻被進了點球，實在讓人失望，但我不會對球員們感到不滿。我
們準備充分，發揮出色，攻進了四球，而我們現在要把專助力放在下一場英超比賽。"
儘管莫里老大缺席，但布里托認為老大賽前的準備和指導讓他冷靜下來， "他無
法到場，我最後一次見到他是比賽開始前兩三個小時，至此我沒再跟他說過話。"
Magath compared tonight’s game to their victory over Arsenal in the
last round.
“In the Arsenal game, we were 3-0 up and allowed them a goal to give

have several players back, ie Demichelis.” The influential midfielder was
suspended from tonight’s game.
Magath felt that they had difficulty keeping control in the centre
and thought for Joe Cole’s goal that Drogba was clearly offside.
“That goal gave us uncertainty coping with the high balls. This was
an exception for us. Normally we can cope but I also believe that the
referee was not for us.”
He mentioned that two-goal scorer Frank Lampard will require special
attention in the second leg next week.
“We know he’s a class player. He scored two goals this evening so I
hope that’s emptied his locker and he will not be able to repeat that.”
