They have grown into real big football players," said Eriksson. "They have developed from being young talent into important players at the highest level to the extent that they could now play in any team in the world. "Frank Lampard was always a big talent at West Ham but I couldn't believe he would have developed into as good a player as he is now. "The same goes for John Terry. He has improved so much since he began to play for Chelsea and has developed into a very fine young captain. "Both players have also developed for England and, if we qualify, I believe they will be very important for us in Germany. "Who would I vote for? Honestly, I couldn't pick one above the other. Seriously, I would share the award this year." Once the PFA awards are out of the way attention will turn to the Football Writers' Association's choice in around a month's time. Peter Osgood, the former Chelsea striker, agreed with Eriksson that it was almost impossible to separate the two players. He said: "It's very hard and if both could share it then that would be the best idea. "I've seen most of the games and Frank Lampard has been awesome. Someone said he was the most improved midfielder anywhere and I think that's probably right. "When Chelsea win the title, I think it will be mostly down to him because 15 goals from midfield is so valuable. "If I had to make a choice, though, I would probably go for big John because of the way he's accepted responsibility this season. Perhaps the best idea would be for one of them to win the PFA award and the other the Football Writers'." Another Stamford Bridge great, Ron Harris, said: "It's going to be tight and how can you separate them? In boxing parlance, it's a split decision. "Up until a few weeks ago I would have said definitely John Terry, but Frank Lampard's had one hell of a season. "If I was put on the spot, I would probably just give it to John. As a fellow defender I can appreciate the way he leads by example, throwing his body into situations, always in the thick of it." Dave Webb said his vote would also go to Terry. "I think Frank Lampard is marvellous but John Terry is my hero. He plays the game the way I like to see it played. If it's possible, they should both share the award for six months apiece. "I know they can't vote for each other but I would think that, if you asked them, both would say the other one should win it. It's just wonderful to see two English players as favourites and both playing for Chelsea. "Frank has been up there at the top for some time but John has really come on a bundle this season and against some of the top players in the world. "It's a mark of how good he is now that he's got Sol Campbell worried about his England place. He gets my vote - just." http://tinyurl.com/btky3 好兄弟,好搭檔,誰得都一樣 http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/haveyoursay/polls/?itemId=18033708 { VOTE } ~~~ 如果是球迷投票,一定是蘭帕德勝出 但Dave Webb說的沒錯, 特里今年真的是大放光芒, 且很穩定 小蘭是下半季才開始發飆, 賽季上半也是失準大王 所以特里實至名歸\( ^▽^ )/ ~~~ -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.121.196.30
