High hopes for Drogba's fitness

Didier Drogba, injured on Sunday while playing for Ivory Coast against Sudan,
hopes to be fit for Chelsea’s visit to Aston Villa on Saturday.
The centre-forward came off at half-time after shooting his country into the
lead from the penalty spot and then suffering a kick to the back of the ankle
similar to the two he received during the win at Crystal Palace.
He hobbled off as a precaution, but has been talking with the Chelsea medical
staff and hopes to be training by midweek and fit for the trip to the Midlands
on Saturday.
Damien Duff has travelled with Ireland to Switzerland for their second game in
a week and hopes to play despite reports of a calf injury. He crossed for one
goal and won the penalty for another and finished the game on Saturday.
