Robert Huth plays 90 minutes against Brazil

Robert Huth started his first international tonight, Wednesday, and
helped Germany to a 1-1 draw against Brazil.
It was only the 20 year old central defender’s second 90 minutes of
the season. His first was for Chelsea Reserves against Ipswich Reserves
last week.
The defenders whom he came in to cover in Germany’s last international
were fit this time round, and he has been preferred. Germany have only
friendlies leading up to the next World Cup as they qualify automatically
due to being hosts.

It was a good night for Chelsea’s central defenders. John Terry was
outstanding in England’s 2-1 win in Poland, his perfect soft-volleyed pass
to Beckham starting the move for Defoe’s excellent goal. He, Frank Lampard
and impressive Wayne Bridge all played the whole game.
葡萄牙的部分
Ricardo Cavalho and Paulo Ferreira enjoyed a 4-0 home win with Portugal
over Estonia, although patience was required. All the goals came in the
final 15 minutes.

But neither Joe Cole for England nor Tiago for Portugal made their
substitutes’ benches.

William Gallas played all of France’s low-key 2-0 win away to Faroe
Islands. France captain Vieira was sent off for foul and abusive language.
Claude Makelele wasn’t playing or on the bench.
愛爾蘭的部分
Damien Duff continued his fine form by crossing for Morrison’s goal
in Ireland’s 1-1 draw away to Switzerland. That’s three assists in two
sets of 90 minutes this week for Damien.
冰島的部分
Eidur Gudjohnsen scored his second international goal of the week,
putting Iceland ahead in Hungary just before half-time, but his country
lost 3-2. He was substituted with five minutes remaining.
捷克的部分
Petr Cech suffered a 2-0 defeat with the Czech Republic in Holland,
two van Hooijdonk goals defeating him.
芬蘭的部分
On loan Mikael Forssell enjoyed his first goal of the season when he
put Finland ahead in Armenia from the edge of the area. Finland won 2-0.
