KEZMAN APPEAL UPHELD


    Chelsea's new striker Mateja Kezman has his appeal for wrongful
dismissal upheld by the Football Association.


    Kezman was sent-off for an altercation with Olivier Dacourt following
a challenge by the former Leeds United midfielder on Arjen Robben during
the game against Roma on July 29 as part of the Blues' recent US tour.


    The FA had originally banned the Serbia and Montenegro international
for three games, meaning Kezman would have missed trips to Birmingham City
and Crystal Palace, plus the home game with Southampton.


    An FA statement read: "He (Kezman) will not serve any suspension and
no extra punishment would be invoked in the case of another sending-off
this season."
