Jurgen Macho contract cancelled

    The contract of goalkeeper Jurgen Macho has been cancelled by mutual
consent.


    Macho joined on a ‘Bosman’ transfer from Sunderland last summer but
ruptured his cruciate ligament just a couple of days into training and did
not play a game all season.


    He has not figured in Jose Mourinho’s plans this season, and after a
week’s training at Norwich and some training at Rapid Vienna, he and the
club agreed to release him from the remaining year on his contract so that
he can pursue his career elsewhere.


    Chelsea wish him good luck for the future.
