Sun August 1st
Still in the USA pre-season. There’s been a lot of double-training sessions,
but not today as there is a match tomorrow. The one session is in the afternoon
in the Philadelphia Eagles’ stadium when the sun is still burning hot. Arjen
Robben is doing some gentle running with physio Mike Banks following his injury
in the last game but doesn’t feel right. Hernan Crespo arrives with Milan who
are training after us and chats with many of our players. He looks happy. Our
players are happy.
Tomorrow they play Milan, tomorrow evening they go home, this morning they’ve
had a chance to complete their shopping! After training they stop off on the
way back to the hotel at the famous steps which Rocky ran up in the first Rocky
film and have a team photograph taken.

還在美國打季前賽.這段時期的訓練是非常辛苦的,但是今天不用作恐怖的特訓,因為明天有
比賽.唯一訓練時段是下午在費城老鷹體育館,那時太陽幾乎都熱得快燒起來了.在上一場比
賽中受傷老羅本在隊醫麥客銀行的陪伴下作一些比較輕鬆的跑步訓練,但是對老人家而言還
是有點吃力.大嘴波租借到米蘭去了,米蘭是下一輪使用球場訓練的球隊,他們也和藍軍打屁
閒嗑牙.大嘴波看起來似乎很快樂.藍軍們也很快樂.
明天,藍軍要對上米蘭,明天下午藍軍就要回家了,今天上午藍軍們終於有機會好好逛一逛街
了!在訓練過後,藍軍在回飯店的途中停了下來.他們在洛基第一集中著名的場景那照了一張
團體照.(a:天啊...死觀光客XD)

Mon August 2nd
Agreement is reached with ChampionsWorld, organisers of our USA games, that
under the new FIFA rulings Mateja Kezman, sent off in the last match against
Roma, must be suspended today. It’s not great for Kezman who needs the
pre-season game, but it should negate any chance of him being suspended at home.
In Portugal Tiago is released from their Olympic squad because of his
continuing pelvic problem, left over from last season, and sets about returning
to England for treatment. In England, Chelsea Reserves win 2-0 in a friendly at
Finchley and Wingate, and two triallists score, but neither are likely to be
pursued.
Missing with Kezman in Philadelphia from the team to play Milan are Robben,
Alexei Smertin and Adrian Mutu (groin strains), and Tiago (in Portugal).
We twice take the lead through Eidur Gudjohnsen and a wonderful Didier Drogba
header, rising above Maldini to Frank Lampard’s corner, but poor defending
allows Milan to equalise twice and snatch a winner in the last few minutes.
The players look tired. Ricardo Carvalho plays the second-half, his first
appearance in a Chelsea shirt, and looks accomplished. After the game there’s
a bite to eat organised in the stadium, then it’s straight off to the airport
and home.

在'冠軍世界'系列賽事中,藍軍也培養出內部的一致性和和諧,在新的FIFA規則處置下的凱
子,被禁止出賽對羅馬的下一場比賽,今天不能上場.這對需要季前賽的凱子而言很不妙,但
是在主場被禁賽應該被取消的.
在葡萄牙,蒂亞戈不用為國家出賽奧運了,因為他有續發性骨盆上的問題.上個賽季就有症狀
了,計劃回國時要好好治療.在英格蘭,切爾西預備隊2-0在友誼賽中贏了芬赤利和溫蓋特,進
了非常艱苦的兩個進球,但兩次進球並不像被追趕.
在費城對米蘭的比賽,和凱子一樣沒辦法上場的有老羅本,北極熊,和穆圖(腹股溝拉傷)還有
蒂亞戈(在葡萄牙).
我們有兩次領先比分,一次是冰島人,另外一次是德羅巴技驚四座的頭球,越過馬蒂尼到小蘭
的角落,但是貧乏的後防讓米蘭追平比分,並在最後幾分鐘所定勝局.藍軍們都看起來很疲憊
.卡瓦略在下半場替補上,這是他第一次穿切爾西球衣出賽,看起來還蠻熟練的.賽後,一起在
體育館吃點東西,然後就直接前往機場回家囉.
