Chelsea deny Olympic Stadium link

Chelsea today denied reports that the club was involved in talks about
relocating to the proposed Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
The reports claim that discussions had taken place about leaving Stamford
Bridge for Stratford.
A Chelsea statement said: "The club completely denies media speculation linking
us to a move to east London. Chelsea admires the London 2012 bid and wishes
them the best of luck in their attempts to bring the Olympics to London which
would be wonderful for the city.
"But there have been no talks either with the London bid or internally at
Chelsea about this matter. At a recent fans forum, Chelsea chief executive
Peter Kenyon made the club’s position regarding stadium expansion and the
possible question of relocation very clear."
