 Alexey Smertin trained today, Monday, and should be considered for the visit
 of Middlesbrough tomorrow, but Geremi is still struggling with his virus.

 北極熊已經恢復訓練,可望出賽米堡,傑拉米還是受病毒困擾.

 Chelsea have no injuries from the Liverpool game and there will be a health
 count in the morning, but the squad is expected to be pretty much the same as
 at Anfield.

 切爾西對利記後,並無球員受傷(對方倒是...).希望對米堡能夠比對利記時表現更優.

 Following three wins after Christmas, assistant manager Steve Clarke said at
 the end of training: “Nobody’s tired here. We can’t wait for the game,
 we’re ready for it.

“It’s been a good Christmas and New Year so far, we want to make sure we come
 out the other side with 12 points, and everybody will be up for the game
 tomorrow night.”

 Chelsea are nine games undefeated against Boro, and at Stamford Bridge 15
 games undefeated against them. Since re-arranging the defence at half-time
 against Arsenal, with William Gallas resuming his central defensive
 partnership with John Terry, Chelsea has conceded no goals in four-and-a-half
 games.

切爾西對米堡9場不敗,在藍軍主場則有15場不敗.最近4場半沒讓對方攻進一球.

“I think any successful team is built on a solid foundation,” Clarke said.
“We’ve got that with two top class goalkeepers, we’ve got top quality
 central defenders, full-backs, we’re solid in midfield and even the forward
 players we have all do their part defensively. You don’t keep clean sheets
 with three or four players, the same as you don’t score goals with just two
 or three players up front.

“We’re a strong team, we’ve done very well this year. We know there’s a
 long way to go, we know we’ve got two top sides chasing us, but as long as
 they keep chasing us, that’s all that matters.”

藍軍是支非常強大的球隊,今年球隊踢得很好(應該是指2004,不過2005也會繼續好下去,
甚至更好).我們知道還有很長的路要走,後面有兩支球隊想追上我們.

 Middlesbrough have lost two of their last three games, at home to Manchester
 United and away to Birmingham. There have been four away League wins for them
 this season: at Fulham, Blackburn, Charlton and West Bromwich Albion.

米堡最近三場輸了兩場,主場對曼聯,客場對伯明罕.他們英超本賽季作客成績有四勝.

 They bring with them, returning to Stamford Bridge for the first time since
 leaving, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Bolo Zenden.

“It’ll be nice to see Jimmy back,” Clarke said. “He did very well for
 Chelsea when he was here, he was a popular person in the club, and we’re all
 looking forward to seeing him again. If you’ve seen him over the years you
 know he’s a good player, probably an underestimated player, he scored a lot
 of goals.

克叔很高興吉米回娘家,且稱讚吉米為切爾西所做出的努力.也說他在賽季表現不錯.

“It’s always nice to have old boys back. Everybody appreciated Bolo’s
 efforts. You could never say he didn’t try hard for the club, it didn’t
 quite work out for him, but that happens in football, and he’s having a very
 good season for Middlesbrough.

跟上一段意思差不多.

 Chelsea will be presenting Hasselbaink with a momento for his services to the
 club before the kick-off.

 比賽前切爾西會當吉米辦個活動,感謝他對藍軍的貢獻.
