Johnson happy at Blues
by Peter ORourke - Last Updated 6 Jan 2005
Glen Johnson's agent has rubbished reports linking Tottenham with a move for
the Chelsea ace.
Reports on Thursday claimed that Tottenham were lining up a move for the
England international as a replacement for Noe Pamarot.
Pamarot has been strongly linked with a move to Southampton even though the
player has stated his desire to stay at Tottenham.
Spurs boss Martin Jol is reported to have made Johnson his top target if
Pamarot does move on as he continues his rebuilding plans at White Hart Lane.
Johnson has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Chelsea side this
season since the arrival of Paulo Ferreira in the summer.
However the former West Ham man has recently just earned himself a run of
regular games due to Chelsea's problems and the player's agent Jonathan
Barnett insists he has no intentions of moving on as he is happy at Stamford
Bridge.
"Glen is happy at Chelsea and he has just recently played a number of games
in the side," Barnett told skysports.com.
"Glen is under contract at Chelsea and he has no intentions of moving anywhere.
"I think it is just paper talk."
