Frank Lampard is currently heading an FA poll to name the England team’s
best player of 2004.


The FA has been collecting votes from supporters via its website on which
player did the nation most proud when donning the three lions in the past
calendar year. All 36 players used by Sven-Goran Eriksson are open for
selection.


Lampard, who started 13 out of the 14 games, scoring six goals heads the
reckoning from Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard with voting open until
January 20th. John Terry stands equal fifth.
