John Terry believes Frank Lampard has silenced the doubters with his
performancs for England during Euro 2004.
And he is also urging Chelsea to sort out the future of his team-mate,
who is looking for an improved contract, "as soon as possible".
But in its own way the contribution of former England Under-21 captain
Lampard as equally impressive.
He made his senior debut more than five years ago and has had to wait a
long time to become an England regular under Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Lampard was on the verge of being a national hero after scoring what was
looking like the winner against France - only for Zinedine Zidane to strike
twice in injury-time.
But he followed that up with further goals against Croatia and then the
late equaliser against Portugal which forced the penalty shoot-out.
Terry said: "Frank has had a fantastic season for Chelsea and he came to
Portugal and kicked on again.
"Maybe a few people were doubting his ability - but never himself or any
of the other players in the dressing room.
"He has come here and played four games, scored three goals, one with his
head, one with left foot, one with right foot.
"He is a fantastic player and I just hope things are sorted out with Chelsea
as soon as possible.
"Frank is a proven international. It normally takes eight to 10 games for a
player to find his feet at international level.
"But Frank has got his chance and he has taken it with both hands.

說到杰拉德,35m太貴了,沒優秀到這個價位吧???!!!
他自己應該降點價,這樣若真來切爾西踢球才沒包袱,不是嗎?
背著35m踢球好玩嗎?17M-18M就很了不起了.
