I am a member of another football forum and all the chelsea fans seem very
happy with this addition. I came on here just to look at some more reaction and
as surprised that people are saying Kezman is not good enough to cut it at
Chelsea.
Well I think he is, I think he is a very good striker and can potentially
become great. As a Serb I have been watching from about the age of 18, him being
talked about as the next great Serbian striker and when it came to the derbies
against my beloved red star, he always scored.
His record at PSV is amazing, in 02/03 season, he finished 2nd in the
running for the European Golden Boot, note that the Dutch League is given 1.5
points per goal and he just missed out to Makaay. His 35 goals in that season
was the highest since van Basten in 87 and scored more in a season than Romario,
Ronaldo and van nistelrooy. His goal ratio by the way is the best ever in the
dutch league, even beating the legend of van basten.
He is not just a goal poacher, he can score all sorts of goals, inside and
outside of the box and is good with his head. He is very quick and never stops
working, he is probably the only player in our national side that gives his all
for our country. Don't judge him too much on his CL record, if you have ever
wathed PSV in the CL he is often isolated up front due to tactics from the coach
or the long ball is played which is directed for Venegoor of Hesselink. If you
seen his goal against Newcastle you'd know that he is a special player. He can
also drop deep, pick the ball up and run with it although he is not the most
tecnically gifted striker we have, it is still quite good. I just hope I have
gave you people some info on Kezman and not to write him off before the deal
has even been completed. Who had heard of Henry, van Nistelrooy, Pires, Vieira,
Stam etc. before they came to England.
