Introducing Marko Mitrovic

When Chelsea announced their new intake of first year scholars a few weeks
ago, keen followers of the Academy will have noticed one name was missing
from the list. That name was Marko Mitrovic, a young Swedish striker from
Malmo who officially signed papers with Chelsea some months ago, to
officially join in July. SvenskaFans.com have recently interviewed Marko
on his impending move to London.

當俱樂部宣布本賽季的一年級生時，青訓魔人們會發現名單裡少了一個人，那就是從
馬爾莫加盟的瑞典前鋒米特羅維奇，他在幾個月前和卻爾西簽約，七月正式加盟。瑞

Mitrovic has signed a four year deal with Chelsea, which will be fairly
similar in practice to that signed by Daniel Philliskirk last summer - a
two year scholarship followed by two years of professional football. It
differs from most youth contracts as there is a guaranteed professional
stage to it, something which very few players at Chelsea are offered, and
is an indication of the confidence the Blues have in him.

他簽下四年合約，跟去年的菲爾利斯柯克一樣，都是兩年的學徒約和兩年的職業約，
跟一般的合約不同，它保障晉級到職業合同，只有少數幾個卻爾西小鬼有這種合約，
這代表了卻爾西很看重他。


Recently turning 16, Marko is itching to get his career in England
underway:

剛滿16歲的米特羅維奇很渴望來到英格蘭。


“I've been very eager to move ever since I signed the contract last
winter. The last few weeks I've been doing nothing but waiting so it's
good to finally get going. I can hardly wait.”

 "自從去年冬天簽約後我就很想來到這裡，過去幾週我只能等而已，什麼也不能做，
現在終於搞定了，真高興，我已經等不及了。"


He is initially slated to be a regular part of the Under 18 setup but also
revealed in the interview that he has the chance to feature for the
Reserve team, and indeed, has been over to Cobham twice since signing to
train with Brendan Rodgers' team.

他一開始只能競爭青年軍的位子，不過在訪問中他透露有爭取進入預備隊的機會，目
前他已經到過科本兩次。


Marko tells the CSS team that he was discovered by Danish scout Bjarne
Hansen, who advised Chelsea to keep a track of his progress, which then
led to signing him from Malmo for what was reported a deal which could
eventually be worth ￡2.5m. A short Question and Answer session with him
followed.

他說他是被丹麥球探 Bjarne Hansen 發現的，後者建議卻爾西盯住他，最後終於從

It may seem tough to leave the family and comfort for a new country and a
big city like London, but Marko was sure when he signed the contract that
he wanted to go.

離開家裡，來到倫敦這樣的大都市似乎很困難，不過馬可好像很堅定，他非常想跟卻
爾西簽約。


“I didn't hesitate at all.”

 "沒錯，我毫不猶豫。"


When I ask Marko to describe himself as a player and tell me about his
strengths on the pitch he's modest.

當我要求馬可形容自己是什麼樣的球員時，他很ㄍㄧㄥ。


“I don't wanna talk about myself. I just say that people can come and
watch for themselves and decide what they think.”

 "我不想談論自己，我只希望人們來看我比賽來決定他們認為我是什麼樣的球員。"


“What's your favorite position?”

 "你最喜歡的位置是？"


“Central attacker in a 4-3-3 system.”

 "433的中鋒。"


Another thing Marko doesn't like to talk about is his ambitions. He likes
to keep them to himself, but he does give us a little something.

另一個馬克不想談論的是他的野心，不過他透露了一點點。


“My main goal is to be in the starting eleven in the U18 team.”

 "我主要的目標是U18的先發位置。"


And longer term?

長期目標呢？


“I haven't really thought about it, but sure, I dream about the Premier
League.”

Whilst being at home on the left, the statement that he prefers to play as
the lead striker will be music to the ears of Academy followers, who will
be only too aware of the lack of solutions at that position. Morten
Nielsen and Fabio Borini are the two main lead strikers at the club,
whilst Adam Phillip and Frank Nouble can both do a job but are more
effective out wide. A consistent goalscorer is needed, and Marko could be
just what's needed.

馬可的中鋒論肯定讓青訓魔人們感到高興，因為我們缺乏這類球員，目前尼爾森和博

The young Swede will be coming to England alone, leaving his family at
home (contrary to reports) and will be placed with a local guest family,
where he'll live with an as-yet unknown Under 18 team-mate, an arrangement
Chelsea typically use.

這個瑞典小鬼離鄉背井一個人來到英國，他會和某位U18隊友一起住在倫敦某個家庭
裡，這是卻爾西的一貫做法。


The interview moves on to discuss his general football preferences. A Real
Madrid fan, his allegiances have since changed to Blue since signing with
the club, and his favourite players include Cristiano Ronaldo and Didier
Drogba. He speaks of the senior players at Chelsea in the same positive
terms as his team-mates have previously.

接著訪問來到了他喜好的球隊，他原本是個皇馬球迷，但自從簽約後，他就變成卻爾
西球迷了 (jejeje) ，他喜歡的球員是小小羅和獸巴，他同樣談到了一軍球員～


“We eat with them after training. They're nice guys, easy to talk to.”

 "訓練之後我跟他們一起吃飯，他們都是好人，很容易talk。" (遞卡)


His English, by his own admission, is pretty fluent, which will ease his
adaptation to England no end. It's not so common for new foreigners to be
fluent - Gael Kakuta and Miroslav Stoch spoke very poor English when
signing, but their football did the talking. Marko already being
comfortable with everyone should see him hit the ground running.

另外他也承認自己的英文很強，所以可以很容易適應英國，但這不是個常見的現象，
像卡庫塔和斯托赫的英文就爛到爆炸，所以他們都用他們的腳來說話。


Since signing with Chelsea, Malmo have been reluctant to play him at all,
disappointed at his impending departure. He has only had 20 minutes of
competitive football in the last six month - during which he scored a free
kick winner - and so there may be a bit of rust to get rid of in
pre-season. But he's looking forward to it immensely:

自從他跟卻爾西簽約後，馬爾莫很失望，所以就不想派他上場了。他在過去六個月裡
只打了20分鐘的比賽 (但他打進一個致勝自由球 ㄎㄎ)，因此他的季前準備可有得忙
了，但是他很積極。


“I've had my focus on Chelsea and I practice a lot on my own, too.”

Chelsea's first and only Swede to date, Magnus Hedman, never made a single
first team appearance, and just a solitary Reserve outing. Marko has the
potential to break that, and his signing is as exciting as any recent
youth acquisition. Roll on the new season, and welcome to Chelsea!
