Jan Sebek is a footballer currently playing for the Chelsea youth team
having joined the club on a two-year scholar contract in the summer of
2007.


When his signing was officially announced he was described as 'A Czech
Under-16s international goalkeeper who is already 1.96m, the same height
as Petr Sech. He is a raw talent who also played as a striker for his
Czech club.'


He made his debut for the Czech Under-16s against Ireland on the 23rd of
April 2007. His first appearance in a Chelsea shirt was for the Youth Team
on the 1st September 2007 against Bristol City, but only lasted 25 minutes
before being forced off with an injury.


Before joining Chelsea, Sebek attracted interest from the likes of top
Czech teams such as Sparta Praha, Slavia Praha and Slovan Liberec.
