Football Icon 2 - the first eliminations

Tonight on Football Icon 2, the pressure is really stepped up when the
eliminations begin. But who among the 14 boys will be heading home and out
of the competition?
At the Academy, Eddie Newton, former Chelsea FA Cup and Cup Winners' Cup
winner and one of the Football Icon judges, takes the young hopefuls
through a training session. There are harsh words for anyone not reaching
the expected standard.

The final decision on who stays and who goes rests on one final game
against a Brentford youth team.
In the end it's a nail-biting decision as the judges weigh up the pluses
and minuses of each of the boys.
Back at the Football Icon Mansion, the boys' new home while they're in
training at the Academy, Carl Magnay is enjoying his appointment as
captain. And he gets some surprise female attention much to the envy of
some of his housemates!
The winner of the competition, who will be announced in December, will be
awarded a professional contract at Chelsea.
Football Icon 2 is Sky One, at 8pm tonight (Friday).
