One of two recruits from Sporting Lisbon in the summer 2005, Ricardo is a
diminutive attacking midfielder and Portugal Under 19 international who
turned professional in July 2006.


He contributed one goals in 15+3 youth team games last season and played
ten times for the reserves before becoming the unfortunate victim of a
cruciate injury. He began the 2007/8 season recuperating.
