The first team squad returns to training today, Tuesday, following
two days off after the victory at Everton.

Training on Thursday takes place at Stamford Bridge and is open for
fans to come and watch. Admission is free into the West Stand Lower
Tier from 10am, training starts at 10.30.

In the evening the Player of the Year Dinner will be held to present
last season’s awards. Frank Lampard won Player of the Year, Robert
Huth was Young Player of the Year and Wayne Bridge won Goal of the
Year.

On the same evening our FA Cup opponents of next Sunday, Newcastle,
play Heerenveen away in Holland in the UEFA Cup. Newcastle had no
game last weekend because they were due to visit Fulham who had an
FA Cup replay.

On Saturday our major rivals play in the FA Cup, Arsenal at home to

our Carling Cup Final opponents, have no game because they have been
eliminated by Burnley. Our squad flies to Newcastle. Our youth team
are at home to Ipswich, 11am kick-off at Harlington.

Barcelona are at home to Real Mallorca in a League game. Our squad
flies straight from Newcastle to Barcelona after the game.

Barcelona have won their last two away games 4-0 at Seville who this
weekend overtook Valencia to move into third place, and 4-1 at Real
Zaragoza. In between they lost at home 2-0 to Atletico Madrid.

On Monday, while the first team is camped in Barcelona, the reserves

Next week is the start of the UEFA Champions League knockout phase.

Chelsea v Liverpool for the Carling Cup is at 3pm on the Sunday. Should
we have drawn at Newcastle the replay is the following Wednesday. If
not we have a clear week before visiting Norwich on the Saturday and
facing Barcelona at Stamford Bridge the next Wednesday.
