Cech: James is England's best keeper

Petr Cech today hailed David James as the best goalkeeper he has
faced in England.
Manchester City goalkeeper James has kept two clean sheets
against Chelsea this season, helping Kevin Keegan's side take
four points off the Premiership leaders, and was the main reason
for Sunday's goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.
He lost his England place following a howler in September's World
Cup qualifier in Austria, but the watching Sven-Goran Eriksson
cannot fail to have been impressed by his performance against Chelsea.
And while Cech is the most consistent goalkeeper in the Premiership
this season, conceding just eight goals in 26 games, he believes
James is the best of the rest.
Cech said: "David James saved his team and put in a great
performance and was the only reason we didn't win the game.
"He's the best I've seen this season. He put in a great performance
in Manchester and was even better in this game. We had a lot of
chances but he was always there."
Coming from Cech this is praise indeed. The Czech Republic
international has gone 871 minutes without conceding a goal, but
insists Chelsea's entire team should share the credit for a
Premiership record nine successive clean sheets.
He added: "Our defence has been fantastic all season as a team
and this is the reason for our success."
