Petr Cech feels he could be back in the Chelsea team for next weekend's
Premier League game with West Ham United.
The goalkeeper is currently recovering from a calf injury suffered in the
recent UEFA Champions League draw with Schalke.
He was ruled out for four weeks with the problem and definitely misses
Saturday's trip to bottom club Derby County.
But the Czech Republic ace believes he may be in contention for a recall
against The Hammers on 1st December.
"Compared to the former plan, I am ahead of schedule in the recovery
process," Cech told Sport.
"It is impossible, though, that I would return in goal at the end of this
week. Next week, though, it might turn out well."
With Cech injured, Carlo Cudicini will continue between the posts at Pride
Park, and against Rosenborg in the Champions League in midweek.
