The Football Association and the Premier League have taken steps to improve
the level of care to players in the light of injuries to Petr Cech and Carlo
Cudicini last season.

Chelsea Football Club wrote to both the FA and FAPL following the incidents
at Reading, making a number of observations on events that day.

Following the injuries to the Chelsea goalkeepers, a working party was set up
that includes Chelsea team doctor Bryan English. Following its first report,
a number of new measures have been introduced at stadiums this season
including the use of an ambulance specifically for players and officials.

Chelsea play Reading on Wednesday at the Madjeski Stadium and a club
statement said:

observations we made, there have been improvements regarding the health and
safety of all players, that can only be a positive thing for all clubs and
football.'

It is now compulsory for each stadium to have the following provisions in
place on matchday:

:: Two fully-equipped paramedic stretcher-bearers.

matches.

:: By the start of the 2008-09 season it will be mandatory for club doctors
and physiotherapists to have completed the two-day FA Advanced Resuscitation
and Emergency Aid Course (AREA). The qualification will be valid for three
years.
-在2008-2009賽季前，俱樂部醫生和理療師必須完成2天的「英足總高級救護和緊急事
件幫助課程(AREA)」。其資格認證有效期為3年。

:: In addition, clubs will be asked to complete a questionnaire setting out
the medical aid provisions in place at their stadium, for the information of
visiting clubs.
