The Finnish international has impressed on a season-long loan at Birmingham and The Blues are keen to make his stay permanent. Forssell is keeping all his options open, but admitted he would be more than happy to return to Chelsea if he can be guranteed he is in Claudio Ranieri's first team plans. "I still have three years left after this season with Birmingham, with Chelsea. The original deal was that I'm going to come back to Chelsea and that still stands because that's the way contracts are made," Forssell told Chelsea TV. "But obviously my hunger grows all the time and I'm a player that wants to play. And if the situation doesn't look good in Chelsea, I think Chelsea wouldn't hold me back either because they want their players to play. "And if there are four, five, six strikers there, I don't think there is any point in that and I think Chelsea understand this. "But if they say I am one of their players, I'm one of their strikers next season, that I'm going to play, there's a good chance that I'm going to play, then I'm glad. "I'm going to be happy, I'm going to come back and I'm going to do my best for the club. "But if the club says we haven't got a spot for you this season or for the future then we'll see what happens. And obviously if they're ready to sell me then who knows but I think the first thing obviously is that I want to play, as any player does." Meanwhile, Blues goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini is set to be missing for another month after undergoing surgery on his broken hand. The Italian shot-stopper sustained the injury in training last week and he was expected to be missing for just a month, but he is now expected to be sidelined for another four weeks. "Carlo has had an operation and I think it will be a month before he is back," Ranieri told Chelsea TV. "It was unbelievable, he just made a save in training and then, as he pushed his arm down to stand up, it went crack. "He will now have to recover and each person takes a different amount of time. After three days, however, he can use his hand and work hard. After a month, he can go back into goal."
