Lampard eyes new Blues deal
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard believes he deserves a new deal in line with
the top earners at Stamford Bridge.
The England international has been one of the club's outstanding players this
season and yesterday scored twice in a 4-0 thrashing of Southampton.
Lampard is now hoping to secure a new contract but is concerned nothing has yet
been agreed with chief executive Peter Kenyon.
The former West Ham star told the News of the World: 'Yes, it riles me because
all I'm asking for is parity with other players here at the club.
'I think I'm a top player at this club and I am not asking for outrageous wages.
I just want what I feel is just reward for my hard work.
'I really hope we can sort something out before the end of the season.
'I don't know if Peter Kenyon is messing me about but, hopefully, I will get
that parity in the end.'
