Statistics show that Chelsea's goal ratio has been significantly higher since Robben came into the side in October after missing the beginning of his debut campaign in England through injury. But Lampard is quick to point out that Chelsea were winning games before his emergence at Stamford Bridge and that they are capable of doing the same during his absence with a broken foot. Lampard said: "We will miss Arjen. He's got great pace. He's given us so much since he came into the team. "But by the same token people have made a massive thing of him being out - and we are far from being a one-man team. "Before Arjen did come into the team we were pretty much top of the league. He's a great player and hopefully he will be fit sooner rather than later. "But Chelsea have to get on with things without him for the time being. We can't rely on one man and we don't do that." England's newly crowned Player Of The Year has vowed to become an even better player in the next 12 months and would gladly swap such personal accolades for World Cup glory in 2006. He said: "I've played virtually every game but I don't feel tired. I was fortunate enough in January when we had a couple of weeks where there were no midweek games so I feel quite fresh. "Those midweek games are going to start again now and I feel ready for them. We've got a lot of big matches to come with Chelsea and England but I love playing. "If anything, I felt more tired over Christmas than I do now and you do get pass ages in the season where you get tired and you just have to work through those. "I don't like to be rested. I think I am one of those players who is better off through keeping the rhythm through playing regular week in and week out. "I am fortunate enough in that I've done that and I'm pretty pleased with the way it has gone over the last two or three seasons. I've hardly missed games and I'd love that to continue really." Lampard admits that being voted the country's top player via a poll on the Football Association's website has been a boost to his already high confidence, but he would gladly exchange it for team glory in Germany. He said: "It is really great to get it from England fans and to get it above players like Gerrard, Beckham, Rooney - all players that have played very well. "It's great for confidence. I feel confident at the moment in my football anyway but that's a great accolade. It's one of the best you can get, from fans who travel the world and watch you play everywhere. "Of course, hard work will be needed to maintain the standards I've managed and I'll always try and improve. I've done it at Chelsea. "People said I did well last season and I went out this time around to try and be even better and I'll try and do it with England now. "I'll swap that award for the World Cup! "Personal things are great. They feel great at the moment but the team awards are the ones that stick in your memory and the World Cup is massive and that's what we will striving to get to and do well in." He said: "It really isn't hard to get up for such games. "I know people were saying that friendlies don't come at the right time. For me, and also for people like John Terry who pulled out, they mean a lot. "I know people are trying to say he pulled out for the wrong reasons but I know he was desperate to come and play, as was Wayne Bridge. "You've seen debuts made with Shaun Wright-Phillips again looking sharp and, unless you throw people in and really give them a chance against good teams like Holland, you are not going to see if they can do the business." ---- 先別想WC 英超先拿啦 ---- -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.228.14.128
