John Terry becomes a father

Everyone at Chelsea Football Club wishes to congratulate our captain John
Terry and his fiancee Toni Poole on the birth today (Thursday) of twins.
A statement issued jointly by father and mother reads:
John and Toni are delighted to announce the birth of their twins, a boy
and a girl. They have yet to decide on the names.
The babies were born at the Portland Hospital in London on 18 May 2006.
The baby boy was born at 12.37pm and weighed 5lbs 7oz, the baby girl at
12.29pm weighing 3lb 9oz.
Speaking from the hospital John Terry said: 'The babies are well. Toni is
doing well and we are both absolutely delighted.'
No photographs of the babies will be released at this stage and, with John
now away preparing for the World Cup, he would be grateful to the media
for continuing to respect Toni and the babies' privacy.
