England captain John Terry has admitted that it could take up to eight months
for his broken toe to heal properly.
英格蘭隊長蔣公特里承認他腳指頭的傷需要八個月的時間
Terry sustained his injury during Chelsea's pre-season tour of America and
has had to have pain-killing injections to enable him to play for club and
country this season.
特里是在賽季前去美國受的傷,在這賽季靠著止痛針幫俱樂部跟國家隊踢球
He admits the break could heal in four to six weeks if he chose not to play,
but is desperate to keep going and does not expect the problem to get better
for some time.
隊長承認說他如果選擇休息可能4-6個星期就會好,但是他選擇繼續踢球而且對這傷勢
變好轉沒有多大的期望
There has been debate about whether Steven Gerrard should be helped through
England's Euro 2008 qualifier against Israel, but Terry insists he should be
fine.
再討論傑拉德要不要上場,蔣公說他可以的
He said: "I've had a broken toe and have been playing since day one of the
season with an injection. Whether Steven needs to have an injection, I don't
know.
蔣公說"我有一個壞掉的腳指,而且賽季第一天就打了針上場比賽了,我不知道傑拉德要
不要也來一針"
"But from the doctor's point of view and, speaking to the doctors at Chelsea,
my broken toe is not going to get any better or worse from me having the
injection and playing - and I think Steven is the same.
可是從醫生的觀點看來,切爾西的醫生跟我說我壞掉的腳指不會因為打針或是上場變好或
變壞-我想傑拉德也一樣
"As a player I don't want to miss one game for Chelsea and England or even a
day's training. If that means having an injection, I'll do it.
身為一個球員我想錯過任何一場切爾西跟英格蘭的比賽甚至是一天練習,假如這代表了要
打一針,我會這麼做
"It is a broken toe. It will take four to six weeks to heal. By having the
injections every game and in training, it is going to take six to eight
months to heal."
這是一個受傷的腳指,這將會需要4-6禮拜去復原,如果每場比賽或是訓練前來一針,這需要
6-8個月才會好

Wright-Phillips praise
Shaun Wright-Phillips has been in sparkling form for Chelsea this season and
Terry believes he could be the man to unlock Israel's defence.
小賴特這賽季在切爾西表現很閃亮亮而且特里相信他會是打破以色列防守的人
"The pace of Shaun could really cause Israel problems and he is a great
outlet for us to look for out on the right wing," said Terry.
小賴特會是以色列的麻煩而且他是一個偉大的解決方法在我們尋找右邊鋒上
"He has been on fire for Chelsea and shown some great things during the early
part of the season. It's been really great to see.
他是真的火熱而且有極大的表現在切爾西先前賽季.看起來真的很偉大
"Shaun is the sort of player who is very dangerous in attack but he has also
been tracking back as well. He could be a great outlet and maybe stretch
Israel a little bit."
