Nothing dubious about Joe

Joe Cole’s one goal so far this season has remained in his name after the FA
Premier League’s Dubious Goals Panel decided not to remove credit for his
strike at Birmingham.
The goal that won the game at St. Andrew’s back in August came when Cole’s
68th minute shot beat Maik Taylor via a deflection off the Birmingham keeper’s
namesake, Martin.
The panel, who met on Tuesday, decided the deflection was not sufficient to
warrant own-goal status so confirmed the goal as Cole’s.
The midfielder has found the net four times for Chelsea.
