RANIERI HINTS AT LOANING OUT COLE

Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri has admitted for the first time that he
would consider loaning out Joe Cole for the rest of the season.
The England international is thought to be unhappy at his lack of first
team chances at Stamford Bridge.
Reports have suggested that Cole was considering his future at the West
London outfit after failing to establish himself since his summer move from
West Ham.
The skilful midfielder has yet to play a full 90 minutes in the league
this term, having started only 11 games and being substituted in every one.
Cole is believed to be worried about his international future and feels
he needs to be playing regularly with Euro 2004 on the horizon.
Everton are believed to be watching his situation closely and could be
ready to take him on loan at Goodison Park.
Ranieri admitted he understands Cole's situation and hinted that he
could allow him to go out on loan for first team football.
"I understand Joe needs to play but I must think of what is best for
the team," said Ranieri.
"I would prefer to keep him here but if he says 'I would like to play' I
would understand."
