Ballack hits back at critics

Michael Ballack has rejected criticism of the timing of his ankle surgery.
The Chelsea midfielder is set to miss the final few weeks of the season after
picking up a knock against Newcastle a week ago.
There have been suggestions in the media that Ballack underwent an operation
in April so that he would recover in time for Germany's Euro 2008 qualifiers
against San Marino and Slovakia later in the summer.
"It's absolute nonsense and truly ridiculous to see any connection between
this operation and international matches in June," Ballack was quoted as
telling sports news agency SID.

"No footballer in the world would risk missing an FA Cup final against
Manchester (United), a UEFA Champions League semi-final against Liverpool and

Ballack insists he consulted Chelsea's medical staff before flying to see
Germany team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt.
在巴拉克意外受傷後，切爾西俱樂部隊醫的核共振檢查並沒能確定具體的傷勢情況，對此
巴拉克也說：" 受傷後的四天我在切爾西俱樂部接受了治療，但是效果並不理想，我的傷
勢並沒有任何好轉，因此我和隊醫商量去我熟悉的一個德國醫生漢斯-穆勒-沃爾法特那裏
進行再次的檢查，然後我就去了慕尼克，希望能夠得到一點醫生的建議。"
"I didn't have this surgery for fun and I would much rather be with the team
on the pitch against Liverpool," he added.

"I'm still hoping to have the possibility to play in the Champions League
