Andriy Schevchenko has denied comments attributed to him in the media this
morning regarding his form, his relationship with Jose Mourinho and Roman
Abramovich and his future at Chelsea Football Club.

的傳聞 所以色娃今天再次出面闢謠
The comments were allegedly taken from an interview in a Russian newspaper.
Andriy has only given one interview in recent weeks to a Russian sports
magazine called ProSport. These are the relevant sections translated correctly
as they appear in the magazine.

Q: In one word: do you consider that the beginning of your career at Chelsea
FC has turned out to be unsuccessful? There are a lot of rumours on the topic
right now.
問:你覺得你在史坦夫橋"不"成功嗎? (很巧妙的引誘作答......)
A: I know that more is expected of me. I realise that. And I am capable of
bringing something to Chelsea - that I know as well. In actual fact, the
season has just started. And it didn't commence without difficulties - both
for me personally and for the team in general.

Largely, this is due to the World Cup, which consumed a huge chunk of our
break and took its toll on our condition - both physically and morally. It is
not a secret that it is much harder to transcend into the new season after
the World Cup. It does not only concern me - I'm referring to everyone.

My injury before the Championship also came at a wrong time - I had to
practically prepare myself physically from scratch... But I don't want to
make excuses. Primarily, I do not consider my Chelsea debut to be so bad -
despite everything, I scored 4 goals. Besides, people do not need my excuses.

Q: Two months and 9 matches have passed between your Middlesbrough goal in
August and the Portsmouth goal in October. You must have experienced mixed
feelings when confronted with such an immense advertising campaign.

A: I experienced normal feelings. Yes, as a result of my past successes, the
stakes are high. My transfer price also played its role. There is a lot still
to be done in order to prove myself at Chelsea. But I will do that.

I don't want to end up making excuses and explaining what happened and why.

Q: What percentage of the difficulties that you are experiencing do you
attribute to the acclimatisation in a new country, in a new club? This is
only the second time in your life that you have done this.

A: This is not a big problem. They are very good at welcoming new players at
Chelsea. I adapted very easily here - almost instantly.

Q: Did you experience any problems relating to the specificity of English
Football?

A: I didn't find that anything was different here. In England they play the
same game that they do on the continent.

Q: Another rumour around your so-called problems relates to the fact that
Lampard and Ballack are apparently more intent on scoring themselves, than
passing the ball, which is different to the strategy of your team-mates in
Milan.
問:有傳言說 籃趴跟芭樂喜歡自己進球 跟在米蘭的打法不一樣
A: This is true. However, I have no problems with it. Who said that Lampard
should play for Shevchenko? Lampard should play for the team! This applies to
me as well. Scoring goals is my main prerogative, but not the only one.

Maybe I am excessively elaborating, however, the match against Barcelona -
where I didn't score, yet Chelsea won - made me much happier, than the match
against Liverpool, where I scored, but we ended up losing.

Q: When you play with Drogba, you often have to settle for a position of
second forward. Does this bother you?

A: No. During my last seasons at Milan, I was also playing second forward.

Q: How many goals do you intend to score for Chelsea as to not regret your
transfer? And what do you hope to win?

A: I never thought about it like this. And I try not to regret anything.

Q: Your justifications for the transfer as being in the "interests of the
family" did not appear very convincing...or rather - incomplete.

A: Of course there were other motivations. I wanted to try playing for a new
team, to change atmosphere. It was also interesting to see what it is like
working with Mourinho.
當然有別的理由 新的球隊新的環境 還有跟魔力鳥的邪惡帝國合作~
In actual fact, I couldn't even imagine just how interesting it is until I
came to Chelsea. As regards to the family circumstances - I did not exaggerate
. Family is very important in my life, especially since it is about to get
bigger.

Andriy has also reiterated the official statement he made last week following
speculation about his future.This was:
"I give 100 per cent all the time and I am committed and hungry for success
with Chelsea. I have total respect for the Chelsea club and fans aswell as
for football in England and theculture of the country. There are always good
and not so good moments in sport, that's normal. If that means there is
opinion and criticism I respect that."
