Owls track Chelsea youngster

Skysports.com understands Sheffield Wednesday are lining up a move for
Chelsea youngster Jimmy Smith.
Owls boss Brian Laws is believed to be exploring the possibility of taking
the attacking midfielder on loan for next season.
Smith is highly rated at Stamford Bridge having come through the youth
ranks and been a regular in the reserves. The 21-year-old has enjoyed two
loan spells away from Chelsea over the last couple of seasons at Queens
Park Rangers and Norwich.
Smith is well down the pecking order at Chelsea and they are believed to
be willing to loan him out again so that he can gain valuable first-team
experience.
A number of clubs are thought to be keen on signing Smith, but Laws is
hopeful of winning the race to bring the midfielder to Hillsborough.

Warnock keen on Sinclair

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock told the Croydon Adverstiser: "Loan
deals are always an option and it's something I will look at, but ideally
I want my squad to be players who are contracted to the club.
"The one player I am looking to bring in on loan is Scott Sinclair, but we
will have to wait for him because Chelsea don't tend to let their
youngsters leave on loan until they've played in the Carling Cup.
"I've spoken to one or two Premier League managers about loan deals, but
that is as far as it has gone at the moment."
