Smith Making a Dramatic Impact! by Merlin

On loan up the road at Loftus Road (still), young Jimmy Smith is enjoying
his spell in the limelight.
After picking up the Chelsea Reserves captaincy at the start of the
campaign, many expected that the most Smith could perhaps hope for was the
odd spell with the first team squad,
After all, Smith had sampled the bright life in the last fixture of last
season when he travelled with the squad to Newcastle and made his
Premiership debut as a second half substitute.
However, it appears that Jose had other ideas with regards to his
development and when Queens Park Rangers offered the youngster the chance
to sample regular first team football, it was Jose that pushed Jimmy in
the right direction.
Speaking to the media after netting his fifth goal in seven games for
Queens Park Rangers, he remarked, "Jose Mourinho told me to go to Queens
Park Rangers."
Obviously with the blessing of the special one, it didn't take Jimmy long
to make the move up the road. However, Jose had some other inspirational
words for the youngster about to sample regular first team football, as
Jimmy recalls, "He told me to go and do my best and to remember that I am
representing Chelsea."
Thankfully, Jimmy has delivered the goods and we here at Vital Chelsea
intend to follow his progress closely as the exciting youngster continues
to carve out a reputation in Championship football.
As for Jimmy, he remains reflective on what has happened to him in recent
weeks, simply stating, "I can't ask for any more than to play first team
football."

Rangers can catch him in action courtesy of Sky Sports, this Friday
evening, when the Cardiff City v Queens Park Rangers clash will be
televised live.
