Batman & Robben play the Joker at Bridge

JOHN TERRY has revealed how he and Frank Lampard are gunning for
dressing-room pranksters Mateja Kezman and Arjen Robben after they
keep on being left exposed.
Kezman and the Dutch winger were nicknamed Batman and Robben during
their days at PSV Eindhoven.
But the pair have combined to play the Joker with skipper Terry and
England midfielder Lampard, in a series of stunts that have the rest
of the Chelsea squad in stitches - and left Terry and Lampard without
a stitch to wear.
Terry confessed: "There are plenty of wind-ups at the training ground.
Kezza and Robbie keep cutting up mine and Lamps' pants.
"But when it happens four days on the spin, you're like 'Lads, leave it
out'. Actually, we still owe 'em for that."
You can bet it will be pay-back time soon, but the dressing-room fun
and games sum up the camaraderie in Jose Mourinho's squad.
Saturday's win at Everton meant Chelsea could put their quest for the
Premiership on hold for three weeks but three games in eight days,
starting at Newcastle on Sunday, will determine whether the Quadruple
is still on.
Mourinho's men go to St James' Park for their FA Cup clash with Newcastle
on Sunday, from where they will fly direct to Barcelona for the Champions
League last 16 clash three days later.
Four days after that, Chelsea will be looking to secure their first piece
of silverware since 2000 when they face Liverpool in the Carling Cup
Final at the Millennium Stadium.
But Terry is convinced the bond among the players will prove a vital
factor when the chips are down.
"The team spirit we have here is great," he told this month's edition
of Zoo magazine.
"There are PlayStation competitions, we go go-karting and paintballing
together. Going into the games we all want to fight and die for each other.
"We also have the pre-match talks now, when everyone has their turn to
say something.
"I had to do it in the first game under Jose, against Celtic. Mine was
all effing and blinding but other lads will read out a quote. It always
gets us pumped up."
While Terry is one of three ever-presents in the Premiership, alongside
Lampard and Petr Cech, he will be missing on Tyneside, although he did
not appear devastated at the booking he received at Goodison for kicking
the ball away after conceding a free-kick.
It means he will have a rest before Barcelona - Ricardo Carvalho, out
since mid-December, will step in alongside William Gallas - and will
be available for the trip to Cardiff.
Such is Mourinho's planning and control over the dressing-room some might
suspect the booking was not unintentional, and Terry admitted the players
were willing to do whatever the Portuguese boss told them to do.
He added: "Jose's so thorough. He always wants to win. Even in training
he doesn't like players conceding goals.
"We know what the opposition are about before we go into the game. And we
always know what the boss wants you to do."
Mourinho is likely to rest Claude Makelele too, ensuring he is available
to play against Rafa Benitez's side, although Didier Drogba faces a race
against time to be ready for the trip to the Nou Camp.
The ￡24million Ivory Coast hitman, out for three games with a groin
problem, had been due to return at Everton but a thigh knock picked up
in training means he is struggling to make the trip to Newcastle. Unless
he plays there, Mourinho will be unlikely to start him against Barcelona.
Terry admitted he is a changed man when he walks out on to the pitch
nowadays.
He said: "I'm so focused on the game when I play against mates they go
'What's ****ing (a:fucking) wrong with you?!'
"But I remember once David Dunn coming up to me in a game and saying 'JT,
I'm gonna nutmeg you - and the fans are going to go mad!' I tried to
block it out, but I had to giggle at that."
Striker Eidur Gudjohnsen is facing a ￡50,000 club fine after his
drink-driving arrest on Sunday.
