Ferreira is simply the best - Mourinho

Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho believes Paulo Ferreira is the 'best right-back in
the world'.
Following his poor showing at Euro 2004 - Ferreira was dropped after the
opening game against Greece by Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari - many
questioned Mourinho's acquisition of his old Porto player for ￡12m.
However, Ferreira now looks to have found his feet in England and Mourinho is
more than happy with his buy.
"The boy never gets injured, which means he consistently plays around 60 games
a season, no problem," said Mourinho. "For me this makes him the world's best
right-back - which is why I signed him for Chelsea.
"Paulo will never get a mark of 10 out of 10 in a game or even nine, but
neither will he ever get below a seven or an eight."
Mourinho's comments are bad news for England international Glen Johnson.
Signed last season for ￡6m by Mourinho's predecessor Claudio Ranieri, Johnson
was quickly hailed as England's next right-back.
However, with Ferreira looking immovable in the Chelsea line-up, it looks
increasingly likely that the 20-year-old will have to move to pastures new if
he is to reclaim his place in Sven Goran Eriksson's squad for the World Cup
qualifiers.
