Mourinho admits Joaquin interest

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted making an approach for
Real Betis' 23-year-old winger Joaquin.
Mourinho made the enquiry earlier in the season and could return
in the summer for the Spain international.
The Chelsea boss told the News of the World:
"Joaquin is a very good player and I admit there was contact.
"We asked and the other party replied. Nothing has been discarded
with regard to him, we could try to sign him in June or December."
The Chelsea boss added:
"We did not have Joaquin signed, nor did I say not to sign him."
Meanwhile, Mourinho said that he is not interested in speaking to
Arjen Robben while the Dutch winger recovers from his broken foot.
"I really don't want to think about him. The best way to face
an injury from a very important player is to forget him," said Mourinho.
"I don't speak to him. He is in the medical department and,
when they tell me he's ready to start working with the coaching staff,
we will welcome him with open arms.
"When my fitness coach says he's ready to play, I will jump for joy.
But at the moment, he cannot play, so I do not think about him.
"I have to work with the other players, to support and motivate them.
I'll never use Arjen Robben as an excuse for anything."
