能預測到本場比賽比分的人一定少之又少，但莫里老大對平局並不是那麼悲觀。
"我不高興，因為我們未能獲勝，但重點是我們拿到一分，如果在賽季初，那不
怎麼樣，但在目前，一分還不錯。不輸球總是好的，特別是需要積分的時候。11分算
是不錯的差距。
老大說他不在乎再否在主場封王，只要贏球就好。
"我們要控制局面，完成封王該做的事。"
為了冠軍聯賽第二回合，本場比賽老大選擇讓幾名主力休息。
"因為積分差距足夠，所以我們有能力進行輪換。上半場的比賽看起來像八月份
的友誼賽，天氣太熱所以跑不起來，上半場的表現不太好，我們沒有足夠的野心去贏
得比賽。下半場像樣多了，但那個丟球實在愚蠢，之後伯明罕覺得能贏，他們奮力作
戰，防守出色，他們理應帶走一分。我們贏得有點幸運，這對他們來說有點不公平。"
"禁區裡面情況混亂，但我在40碼外，所以我建議看完重播後再說，或許球員們
認為有點球是錯的，但我們今天也可能獲得五個像巴拉克那樣的點球。"
Predictably, Birmingham boss Steve Bruce disagreed about the penalty
claims.
“Never,” he retorted, smiling.
Whilst delighted with the unexpected point, at 1-0 up, he admitted to
believing that his team might just have gone away with something more.
“With five minutes to go, we were asking whether it could be our
day? We thoroughly deserved to get something out of the game and were
thinking maybe we could be the first team to get a result here. But it
wasn’t to be.
“Our players were terrific and we caused them a threat, especially
in the second-half. It’s possibly as well as we have played all season.
“Chelsea are an outstanding team and will be worthy champion,
that’s for sure. Twelve goals conceded, one defeat, speaks volumes.
Usually to win the title, you would expect to lose four or five games but
you cannot see them doing that.
“We wish them well and we’re rooting for them to beat Bayern on
Tuesday.”
