The mammoth effort in bringing the Barclays Premiership trophy and the Carling
Cup to Chelsea has led to wear and tear likely to be reflected in the teams
selected to complete the season.

大家花了九牛二虎之力才把英超冠軍和米老鼠盃帶回史坦福橋,因此球員身心"磨損"很多,
所以出戰曼聯的陣容將有所調整.

Ahead of Tuesday evening's game with Manchester United, manager Jose Mourinho
has explained that injury and fatigue amongst his squad means the odd big name
will be missing at Old Trafford with the odd youngster given a chance.

莫里尼奧藉此給新秀表現機會.

Mourinho said: “Some players are tired and we have to take care of them
because during the season they have taken care of us."

一些球員感覺很累,我們必須保護他們,因為整個賽季以來是他們在保護球隊

He further revealed: "We will have in the next week three operations, not big
things but small problems to solve. Problems to players that have given
everything for us. Lampard, Terry and Carvalho will have small surgeries.”

"We are champions and we must respect that,” he added. “We must respect the
competition and we want to give difficult matches to Manchester United and to
Newcastle.”

Records were never a Chelsea priority but with the League won, Mourinho is
looking to his team to establish new top-flight bests for points total and
fewest goals conceded.

莫里尼奧不希望"紀錄"成為包袱,但希望儘可能拿到英超史上最佳積分和最佳失球紀錄.

"We need to find motivation for these games and this is a good way,” he said.

對剩下的兩場賽事我們需要贏球動力,而這兩點是個不錯的方向.

Chelsea need two more points to beat Man United's record total of 92 set in
1993/4. We need to let in no more than two goals to finish with less conceded
than the Liverpool team of 1978/9 who recorded 16 goals against.
