BARNWELL ASSESSES MOURINHO’S VIEWS
Jose Mourinho was quoted as being critical of Arsenal's David Dein being a
senior figure in the decision-making processes at The Football Association.
John Barnwell, Chief Executive of the LMA gave his assessment of the Chelsea
Manager's views to www.leaguemangers.com
"Jose Mourinho is a throw-back to the way managers answered question in the
past. When they were asked a question, they just said what they felt, without
any fear of exaggeration, political fallout or the consequences."
"Leaving personalities out of it, as the LMA prefers to do, the gist of what
Jose has said is reasonable. It's nothing new, in fact I'm absolutely certain
that it will be reflected in Lord Terry Burns' Reports on the restructuring of
the FA.
"I'm not saying in anyway, shape or form that any club has benefited, but if
you are wearing two hats, one for The FA and another for a Premiership club,
then people are going to think that there is a conflict of interest."
