Hasselbaink has a case to answer

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has today been charged by the F.A. with violent
conduct. The charge relates to an alleged use of the elbow in last Saturday’s
game at Scarborough, the player having 14 days to respond.
Jimmy has a notable record of being cleared in such cases. Two seasons
ago he had two red cards rescinded, the first given for a perceived elbow on
Martin Keown, the second a case of mistaken identity when Teddy Sheringham
was struck in a Chelsea v Spurs game.
That same season Jimmy also faced a violent conduct charge, this time for
supposedly elbowing Southampton’s Claus Lundekvam but again he was found not
guilty.
