Valerio Di Cesare leaves Chelsea

Chelsea and young central defender Valerio Di Cesare have mutually
agreed to end his contract with two years remaining.
The 21 year old signed on a free transfer in 2001 from Lazio, and
played for the youth team before becoming a regular in the reserves where
he made 35 appearances.
But despite spending a couple of pre-seasons in Roccaporena and playing
a couple of pre-season games with the first team, he never progressed to a
competitive fixture. Last season he was on loan to Serie B Avellino. He is
now looking for a club back in Italy.
