Magnus Hedman


Swedish goalkeeper Magnus Hedman joined in November 2006 until the end of
the season to act as goalkeeper cover to Carlo Cudicini and Hilario.

瑞典守門員馬格努斯˙海德曼是在2006年11月加盟切爾西的，他將在本賽季結束前在
球隊中作為庫迪奇尼和希拉里奧的替補。


The late addition to the squad for the season was precipitated by Petr
Cech's serious head injury and expected lengthy recovery period. Magnus
had been out of the game since retiring in summer 2005 after a bad run of
injuries led to him losing his place in the Sweden side and leaving
Celtic.

之所以加盟如此晚，是因為切赫的突然受傷和他計畫中的長期養傷。在2005年夏天，

'I came into a tough time with injuries,' he says. 'I lost my place in the
Sweden team, things weren't right family-wise back home, so I thought all
right, I'd done quite a lot in football so I called it a day.'


'But when you see what happened to Petr Cech, and you get a phone call
from Chelsea, you don't have to think more than once, you just talk to
your family and that's it. Over I went for two days and tried to impress
and here I am.'


Magnus had remained fit because of a lifestyle which embraced martial arts,
and was still only 33-years old on signing for Chelsea - by no-means
pensionable age for a keeper.

Prior to three years in Glasgow, Magnus had five seasons at Coventry and
played in the 2000 European Championships and 2002 World Cup. He has 58
caps for Sweden, having played for AIK Solna in his homeland.

在加盟切爾西之前，海德曼曾經代表瑞典國家隊出場了58次，參加了2000年歐洲盃和
2002年世界盃。他曾經在家鄉的AIK索爾納隊效力，也曾經在考文垂和格拉斯哥的球

He says: 'I'm not just coming here to be on holiday. I'm doing my best to
get fit as quickly as possible and to support and give all my experience,
to be a back-up and someone for the other goalkeepers to compete with.'
