Johnson aims to rebuild bridges with adjustment in his attitude

After becoming the first player signed by Chelsea in the Roman Abramovich
era four years ago, Glen Johnson has returned to Stamford Bridge after a
loan spell at Portsmouth hoping to reignite his disappointing career at
the West London side.

at right back last season, giving Johnson hope of making the position his
own.

immaturity of an individual who had too much too young, and he is well
aware of the need to knuckle down.

that. It has been tough but we will get there in the end.

they are a great bunch of lads and we see each other out of football,”
Johnson said. “When I picked up injuries I used to get treatment back at
Chelsea so I've stayed in touch with the lads. I would train at Chelsea
until I was fit so I saw them all through the season. After losing the
title the lads will be fighting for it even more this season.”

Seville. Chelsea had a ￡12 million bid rejected for the Brazil right back
but will open fresh talks after offloading Khalid Boulahrouz to the
Spanish club.

though the Israel defender may have to begin the season at left back after
injuries to Bridge and Ashley Cole.
